Parents and Friends Association

The Parents and Friends’ (P & F) Association at Georges River Grammar meet at the School on the second Tuesday of the month, except in vacation periods. Meetings begin at 7.30 pm, usually with a guest speaker followed by the business part of the meeting.Guest speakers have included staff, local area identities, police liaison officers and students. The P & F supports student activities and part of this requirement is that students attend the P & F meeting and speak about their particular interest. The P & F does not fundraise but rather levies each family $120 a year. In this way the P & F can help the School but spread the burden fairly and evenly.

In the past the P & F has purchased interactive whiteboards, a washing machine, fencing for agriculture, data projectors as well as the purchase of a pen for the dux of the School each year. The P & F as a group are responsible for the incoming Year 7 welcome barbecue, supporting Open Day and organising the Debutante Ball.To further encourage a sense of family and belonging at the School, a sub-committee of parents organise activities for the parents such as Trivia Nights, outings and afternoon teas. The School sees involvement on any level as important.

Parents are encouraged to become part of the organisation that is their voice at the School.
